WHAT TO EXPECT
This three session professional development series is designed for staff and administrators who work with bilingual facilitators. This includes special education coordinators, case managers, teachers, specialists, and school/district administrators. Attend as a team with your bilingual facilitator(s) to understand the importance of establishing clear, supportive working relationships to provide language access to multilingual families.
Without structured guidance, bilingual facilitators often navigate interpretation and translation tasks alone, leading to inconsistent practices.
Participants will explore the profession’s unique challenges, fears, and limitations, while learning how to create effective language access plans. This series offers practical strategies to improve communication systems, enhance collaboration, and ensure multilingual families receive accurate, equitable, and culturally responsive support across all school settings. You will be provided with resources to strengthen multilingual engagement and support systems in your school.
